Master HairStylist Amoy Pitters |
If you have not been following us on instagram, read any of my blogs or visited my website you are missing out on important news and information! Since I launched the Charles Julian Collection, I have been adamant about the importance of proper hair care for your natural and virgin hair extensions. So, when I ran across an interview with renowned Master Hairstylist and Extension Expert Amoy Pitters I immediately wanted to share some new information with you to keep you informed of the latest and greatest.
This interview reaffirmed those tips and instructions that I have been sharing with you guys for the past year and schooled me on some new ones. Amoy emphasized the importance of keeping hair clean with frequent washing. If you don’t have the time for a wet wash you can use a dry shampoo. Both of us recommend Rene Furterer Dry Shampoo. It will not only soak up the excess oil but it will leave your bouncy, clean and smelling fresh. Most of us know a weave can protect your natural hair so that it can grow faster. But more importantly, in this economy hair extensions and weaves are a financial investment. Therefore we recommend that you find an experienced technician to put in your weaves or extensions. The final choice is ultimately yours. BUT when you compromise on hair by using synthetic instead of virgin or an inexperienced technician instead of one that is experienced -YOU could end up with serious hair problems including SEVERE hair breakage!
According to Master Hairstylist Amoy, “..I have seen so many women with major hair breakage form improperly placed extension or from using synthetic hair put in by inexperienced technicians.”
For more tips on taking care of your hair extensions and weaves visit my blog on “Best Products, and Maintenance for Virgin Hair.” These tips will ensure that you have a long relationship with your Charles Julian Collection virgin hair. Remember:
“If you don’t take care of your hair, then you should get a weave. A good weave is an investment and you should treat it like one.”-Amoy Pitters
